ROFL! I hit on 3 out of 4 on most of the questions. Strangely not a single loonie hit and THEY dare to call me crazy!

Oh that is good! I did a quick match-up of my current gaming group and found that we have:

1x Real Men
2x Real Roleplayers
2x Loonies
1x Munchkin

Fantastic!

Thanks for the link as well - I especially liked the Cyberpunk, Shadowrun and World of Darkness ones.

Chello!

Ended up with about an even split between real roleplayer and real man, 0 loony hits and 1 munchkin (admittedly, I would play Spec forces, Marine infantry or Intel....).

A player who creates a character with the express intention of "winning" and having the best possible gear, no matter how improbable, and the best possible stats, almost always centered around combat.

UGH! I didn't think that happened in pen & paper RPGs - figuring this to occur only in the Video Game "RPG" world. Ah well. You learn something new every day. Munchkin! HA! Never heard of that. Where did the term come from?

Privyet!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchkin_( ... ying_games)

Quote:
The term was applied originally to young gamers by older players, presumably because the connotation of being short and ridiculous (like the Munchkins in the book and film The Wizard of Oz) made it an apt label for the childish gamers it was applied to. However, before long it came to refer to anyone who engaged in a juvenile gaming style no matter their height, age or experience.

It was tough, I could have voted all four ways on lots of things.

Real men: 5.5
Real roleplayer: 10
Loonie: 0.5
Munchkin: 2

(I had to split the "loyalty vote" ... "To his audience, or his next joke")

My personal favorite comes from the Fantasy page:
Real Men wear Plate Mail
Real Roleplayers wear Elven Chainmail
Loonies wear Horse Barding
Munchkins wear power armor

It's just perfect...explains everthing about munchkins you never wanted to know.^^

My preferred definition is "the pejorative term for 'power gamer.'" I know most disagree.

Hi

This "test" is flawed, there is no way a Munchkin would play a Colonel (at least how I remember the rules). You would not be able to have any good stats to get a rank of that level!! And a Munchkin without high STR/AGI/CON is no Munchkin......will have to dig up my old T2k and check the rules.......(T2k v1.0 that is, we hardly used 2.0 and 2.1).

Another fun bit of humor, this one can be directed at the GM and all the foibles of his or her campaign settings and stories:

My personal favorite is:
#26 No matter how attractive certain members of the rebellion are, there is probably someone just as attractive who is not desperate to kill me. Therefore, I will think twice before ordering a prisoner sent to my bedchamber.
